Hands-on workshop: The Art of Making Local Teas

Saturday, May 24

1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Frelighsburg

Welcome to the fascinating world of tea!
Who would have thought it possible in Quebec: 100% local tea!

Become a picker-producer for a day! During this half-day theoretical and practical workshop, you will participate and get your hands dirty at every stage of production:

1. Picking: we will go picking as a group
2. Processing: we will do the famous hand rolling
3. Oxidation and drying
4. Theoretical workshop on the production of local teas
5. Tasting

I will demonstrate how to make local tea from wild plants: raspberry, blackberry, willowherb, goldenrod, cherry, spirea, etc. Caffeine-free, but with the same soothing taste (albeit different) as Asian teas. Come and discover the alchemy of oxidation, which transforms herbal tea into tea, and which I am the only one to market in Quebec… it’s my specialty!
We will sample several of my teas. This is a comprehensive introduction to local teas!
A friendly, informative, practical, and… delicious workshop!

LOGISTICS
A few days before the workshop, you will receive a confirmation email with the address and other details.

MINIMUM
The workshop will be held if there are at least 5 registrations.

Come to my workshop on identifying wild plants, which is being held on the same day!

Saturday, May 24
